The degree of the future hydrogen penetration in the energy system is uncertain, especially in the transportation sector. Calliope and Energy_PLAN project similar hydrogen generation under the climate neutrality scenario, which is significantly higher than IMAGE. Since the hydrogen is generated solely from electricity (specific models’ assumption), this in turn to higher electricity production.
